Performs administrative and professional work directing and coordinating the administrative functions of the Inner-City Games sports activities, educational activities and special events. Incumbent will be required to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Primary duties include planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Work is performed under the direction of the Inner-City Games Executive Director and is reviewed through meetings, reports submitted, observation, and evaluation of results obtained.
Develops, produces and oversees the distribution of registration materials and the computerized registration if all ICG participants in the tri-county area. Develops and maintains data base of participants, volunteers and sponsors. Prepares individual participant packets.

Performs logistic planning for location, staffing, materials and equipment, for over 50 events with over 30,000 participants.

Develops and administers annual budget for Inner City Games office and related activities. Monitors expenditures and maintains ledgers in compliance with non-profit guidelines. Reviews invoices for completeness and accuracy prior to processing. Determines which account invoices should be chargers. Processes payments in a timely fashion.

Schedules and attends bi-weekly ICG Executive Committee meetings and various sub committees. Provides technical assistance and support to all committee members.

Organizes, coordinates and promotes major special events such as kick-off luncheons, volunteer breakfasts, parade and opening ceremonies, heath and fitness expo, and awards ceremony, etc.

Ensures sponsor logos are included in all ICG material. Arranges special events, activities and recognition programs for sponsors and volunteers.

Prepare all correspondence generated by the ICG Committee. Maintain all statistical data on computer and generate reports.

Recruit, training and schedule volunteers for events; prepare volunteer recognition events and packets.

Develops and/or edits public service announcements for newspapers, radio and television stations; designs slide presentations, brochures and flyers to promote the Inner-City Games.

Performs other duties as needed to facilitate the accomplishment of ICG goals.
Thorough knowledge of rules governing the Inner-City Games Foundation.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to make public presentations to various groups.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the general public, and representatives of local business and social organizations.

Ability to develop and administer annual operating budgets with acceptable accounting practices.

Ability to communicate effectively orally (in person and over the phone) and in writing.

Ability to generate statistical reports.

Ability to use a personal computer.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Bachelor Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Leisure Services, Recreation, or other related field and a minimum of four (4) years of experience scheduling and coordinating events, to include administering a budget and interacting with representatives of various agencies. Previous supervisory experience is desired; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Drivers License
