|Performs responsible supervisory work with extensive public contact assisting in the management of Box Office operations for entertainment facilities. An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for supervising the daily coordinating of ticket sales for all ticketed events at Centroplex facilities. Prepares financial and statistical reports. Work is performed under supervision of the Box Office Manager and is reviewed through reports, conferences, and results achieve.|
|Supervises daily operations of the box office. Trains, schedules, assigns, and reviews the work of employees engaged in the sale of tickets to ensure adequate coverage for all over-the-counter sales during events.
Programs upcoming shows on a personal computer; monitors sales activities, prepare daily sales reports, transaction journals, and deposit forms; conducts daily audits to balance and verify the accuracy of all revenues received. Maintains security of all monies received.
Assists in the procurement, receipt, verification and consignment of all tickets; authorizes refunds, exchanges and cancellations on tickets purchased in accordance with departmental policies.
Establishes and maintains event files.
Resolves patron and/or promoter complaints and responds to inquiries regarding Box Office operations.
Assists in the development and administration of annual operating budget for Box Office.
Performs other duties as needed to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Box Office.
|Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and practices.
Knowledge of box office operations.
Knowledge of computerized ticket design techniques and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patrons, promoters, and the general public.
Ability to supervise the work of several other employees that work unusual hours and varying work locations
Ability to prepare cash reports involving large sums of money.
Ability to work well with details and numbers.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Effective interpersonal skills.
|Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field plus two (2)or more years experience in computerized box office operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge of all ticket reports and computerized ticket design techniques required.
