|Performs advanced technical work with responsibility for the preparation of graphic materials and publications. Work is of a specialized nature requiring administrative and advanced technical ability in the coordination of related graphics projects, in addition to performance of complex artwork and graphics assignments and special technical reports and studies. Reports to the Events/Marketing Manager. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed through discussions and evaluation of results obtained.|
|Performs advanced layout, design, and production work associated with complex graphics projects.
Performs advanced Internet graphic layout, design and production work associated with all phases of Internet.
Coordinates graphic standards for City Internet project with Web Coordinator and Technology Management.
May train and teach technical graphic personnel about new software and technologies.
Recommends most visually and cost-effective graphic or pictorial presentation.
Prepares specifications and evaluation of proposals for graphics reproduction services.
Maintains graphic section operating supplies and equipment inventory.
Designs and prepares graphics for flyers, newsletters, posters, and other materials for City business.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
|Considerable knowledge of the principles and accepted practices of graphics.
Considerable knowledge and ability in such arts and techniques as graphics, renderings, layout and design.
Knowledge of Internet creation and design.
Knowledge of computer graphics software.
Skill in the use of drafting and commercial art tools and equipment.
Ability to prepare various comprehensive visual forms such as drawings, renderings, charts and maps.
Ability to operate personal computer.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, City employees and the general public.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
|Associate's Degree with major coursework in graphic arts or related field and three (3) years Internet creation experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.|
