|DDB/CRA ASSISTANT DIRECTOR|
|This position performs professional, administrative, and supervisory work assisting the Executive Director of Downtown Development Board in the development and implementation of operational policies and program objectives for the Downtown Development Broad (DDB) and the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) division.|
|Manages, coordinates and directs activities of staff. Assigns priorities to tasks and reviews assignments and program activity, and provides guidance and technical assistance as needed.
Provides insight on economics and fiscal impact analysis related to CRA funded projects
Provides insight on economic development incentive recommendations for development in the DDB/CRA districts.
Responsible for building business public/private business partnerships.
Assist in the development of innovative programs and implementation strategies to promote and support the retention, expansion, and relocation of businesses within the DDB/CRA districts.
|Knowledge of City's organizational and political structure.
Knowledge of the City's mission, goals, and business model.
Knowledge of key issues facing regional and state.
Knowledge of City's polices and procedures.
Knowledge of City and County Code and Charter.
Knowledge of personal computers and the use of various software packages.
Ability to plan, organize, supervise and review the work of managerial and professional employees.
Ability to analyze and interpret statistics, studies and survey and make sound decision regarding development and utilization of departments needs.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City Officials, citizens and professional groups, news media, employees, and the general public.
Ability to operate a personal computer and software
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
|Bachelor's degree in Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field and at least six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in public administration, one (1) of which must have been in a progressively responsible supervisor capacity; or an equivalent combination of specifically related education, training, and experience.|
