Nature of Work:
Under the supervision of the Forensic Imaging Unit Supervisor provides general and technical photographic services for the Orlando Police Department. Responsible for specialized forensic photography of evidence as well as developing and printing all film shot by crime scene technicians. Maintains departmental negative files. Provides user-level upkeep and maintenance of photo lab equipment and machinery. Work is visually examined by the supervisor prior to being sent out to requester. Ultimately, work is reviewed by investigators, crime lab experts, attorneys and jurors who rely on photography to determine the outcome of the criminal case.
Minimum Requirements:
Associates Degree in Photography with two (2) years experience in Commercial/Industrial/Forensic photography work with custom processing and printing experience or Crime Scene Investigations work which included photography and custom processing and printing duties, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Driver's License required.
