NATURE OF WORK:
Serving as the Director of Operations for the Amway Arena, this is a senior level manager responsible for all services, contracts, and personnel involved in the maintenance, premises, and operations of the Amway Center. The position is classified as Appointed and, as such, the incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Mayor. Responsibilities include providing direction, management, and fiscal oversight of maintenance, changeover, housekeeping, and the physical plant for this NBA and concert venue. Required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as indicated by event schedule and to meet division needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree in business, sports management, engineering, or related field, and seven years of progressively responsible management experience in a major public facility; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. NBA/NHL arena operations management preferred. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, operations management software, and CCTV desired.
VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT. |
