Minimum Starting Salary: $18.58 per hour
Grade: S14
NATURE OF WORK:

Performs skilled mechanical and first-line supervisory work involving the maintenance and repair of lift station and/or treatment plant machinery and equipment. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through inspection of equipment, direct observation, and performance of equipment and conferences with management.

WORK LOCATION: Iron Bridge Facility, 601 Iron Bridge Circle, Oviedo

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate plus four years experience in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance including comminuters, pumps, motors, valves, gauges, and engines, some of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, technical manuals, and bulletins. Valid Florida driver license required; Commercial Driver License Class B preferred, or must be obtained within time frame specified by department. Must be able reliably to be contacted by phone in the event of an urgent work situation. Must pass annual respirator physical; no facial hair allowed between the face and the sealing surface of the respirator face piece.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE OR CLASS B COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE (OR EQUIVALENT) FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE OR CDL MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE. CDL-B MUST BE OBTAINED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF DATE OF HIRE.
