|Starting Salary: $59,114 to 75,750 per year, depending on qualifications
|NATURE OF WORK:
Performs advanced technical, professional, and supervisory work in the research, analysis, and design of computerized signal timing systems. Duties include maintaining computerized traffic signal control system equipment, software, and documentation, fiber optic, copper wire, and wireless network hardware and software; analysis, diagnosis and repair of electrical and electronic traffic signal control equipment; coordinating with vendors for equipment repair; training and scheduling computer system operators; developing, maintaining, and updating traffic signal timing; and preparing related documentation and reports. Manages consultant design and contract construction projects. Work is performed under general supervision of the Transportation Systems Manager and is reviewed through conferences, reports submitted, and results obtained.
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field, and four years experience in electrical engineering, systems analysis, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida driver license required. Florida-registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
