Minimum Starting Salary: $11.74 per hour
NATURE OF WORK:
Performs routine work involving extensive public contact in person and over the phone. Receives callers; answers routine questions on citywide departmental/division procedures, operations, and functions; and directs callers to destinations. Work requires knowledge of citywide departmental/division operations. Operates a multi-line switchboard and standard office equipment such as photocopiers, typewriters, fax machine, and calculators. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed for quality of service rendered to employees and the public.
High school graduate plus one year experience as a receptionist or telephone console operator; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
