|Performs routine janitorial work with responsibility for directing and overseeing the work of one to two custodians. Work is performed under the supervision of a Facility Maintenance Supervisor and performance is reviewed upon completion through inspections of offices.|
|Sweeps and mops floors, dusts and polishes furniture, cleans interior windows, mirrors, light switches, restroom fixtures.
Keeps restrooms stocked with paper towels, toilet tissue, seat covers, sanitary napkins and soap.
Coordinates and makes arrangements for special cleaning requests.
Monitors janitorial supply inventory and advises supervisor when replacements needed.
Inspects offices to ensure they're cleaned properly and reports deficiencies to the supervisor.
Directs and oversees the activities of other janitorial personnel; maintains time and attendance records, performs other related duties as needed.
|Knowledge of janitorial supplies and materials.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper application.
Some knowledge of inventory control.
Ability to direct the activities of others and to relay information in a clear manner.
Ability to prepare and maintain simple records.
Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, and considerable walking and standing, bending, stooping, reaching overhead to perform cleaning activities.
Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and other janitorial equipment.
|Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. One (1) year janitorial experience required.|
