|HUMAN RELATIONS DIRECTOR|
|Performs highly responsible, professional, and administrative work directing the operations of an Office or Division. Work is performed under the general administrative direction of the Mayor and Chief of Staff. These positions serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and do not have a community of interest.|
|Directs and manages a Division or Office.|
|Knowledge of program budgetary procedures and computer operations.
Knowledge of federal guidelines and laws relating to area of assignment.
Knowledge of modern public personnel administration, organization and management principles and practices.
Knowledge of municipal organization, programs and activities, and rules and regulations.
Ability to organize volumes of information (records, reports, directives, contracts) into a comprehensive document/work folder.
Ability to perform work of an analytical, interpretive and judgemental nature.
Ability to write and speak clearly and to present concepts and information through oral and written reports and presentations to a diverse audience.
|Bachelor's Degree in related field, and at least five (5) years progressively responsible experience in related area; three (3) of which must have been in a managerial capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. May be required to obtain/maintain certifications related to occupation.|
