|DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMT|
|Responsible for managing the Office of Economic Development and all economic development programs and initiatives within the City. Responsible for providing leadership in the development of innovative economic development programs and implementation strategies to promote and support the growth, expansion, and retention of business within the City of Orlando, create an entrepreneurial climate, and increase the tax base in a significant manner. Responsible for building business partnerships, public/private partnerships, trust and credibility throughout the community. Responsible for leading the City's annexation efforts through the expansion of the City limits. Responsible for communicating and advising the Mayor's Office, City Council, Executive Management, the business community. Interacts with a wide array of organizations and constituents to educate and build awareness of the mission and priorities of the Office of Economic Development.|
|Serves as Director of the Office which includes management of programs, services, initiatives, work program, staff, budgeting and administrative responsibilities, providing strategic direction, setting priorities and monitoring and evalutation.
Responsible for team building, morale and training.
Responsible for providing vision, leadership and direction on economic development issues.
Advising the Maryor and City Council and Executive Management regarding business and economic development issues.
Responsible for making presentations before various boards and business groups.
Responsible for overseeing and approving all marketing, economic and fiscal impact analysis and studies.
Provide oversight and assistance in the negotiation and development of various incentive agreement.
Provide leadership and direct supervision of annexation work program and initiatives.
Responsible for building partnerships with the business and development community.
Responsible for communicating a consistent message to the Mayor, City Council, Executive Management, City staff, business community and the general public regarding the Office of Economic Development's misson, goals, programs and priorities.

Ability to maintain up-to-date inventory of spaces available for development and redevelopment.
|Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Development, Public Administration and four (4) or more years experience in real estate development, business/public administration, marketing or related field, with three (3) years of related experience in economic development, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience. Florida driver's license required with the AICP certification desired.
