|Position is responsible for all elements of museum and Friends Board marketing and public relations including development of unpaid press, advertising, graphics, newsletters, website and collateral materials for all activities related to the permanent collection, temporary exhibits or events. Advises and assists the Executive Director and the Friends Board President on marketing trends and community outreach programs designed to promote audience engagement with the museum. This position reports to the Museum Director.|
|Serves as liaison between museum and outside organizations to include professional governmental or social organizations.
Manages development/contact database.
Maintains all membership bases and donor relations files.
Coordinates fund raising activities.
Acts as the secretary to the Friends Board and acts as support for Board functions to include committee meetings, regular/special board meetings.
Supports sales, volunteers, marketing and record keeping.
Managements the docent corps for the museum.
Prepares and monitors annual budget and long-range strategic goals for administration, special projects, development and audience development.
Cultivates relationships with individual and corporate donors and donor organizations.
Designs and implements a capital/endowment campaign.
Creates and administers all mail campaigns.
Creates and maintains records for contact reports on major donors.
Manages membership, education and docent programs for the Museum.
Maintains the Museum's membership and donor databases.
Administers special events to include, the annual gala, ArtsCouncil fashion show, Museum folk festival.
Develops and coordinates the volunteer base.
Attends and records minutes of Friends Board meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
|Ability to organize and analyze information and perform planning research.
Ability to operate personal computer.
Ability to effectively maintain donor databases.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to analyze policy and technical issues and to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with municipal officials, donors, and the general public.
Ability to speak effectively to public groups, civic organizations and communities.
|Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Public Relations or related field plus two years work experience with non-profits desirable. Some experience working with membership development. Working with volunteer boards a real plus. Valid Florida driver's license required.
