|Performs professional, technical and analytical work relating to the setup, management, and maintenance of security related systems and applications to insure security of internal and external City of Orlando web presence. Researches and restores website operability as soon as possible after detection of issues. Assists in conducting database and systems audits, and creates incident reports. Researches and provides recommendations for prevention and risk mitigation of security related incidents. Assists in defining development standards and procedures, plans and manages legacy applications migration to current technologies. Researches and uses up-to-date application tools for the system development team. Work is performed under the general direction of the Systems Development Manager and is reviewed through reports submitted, observations, and evaluation of technical support ability, reports and client feedback.|
|Directs the planning, implementation, review, and security execution of mission-critical software systems' integration both in-house and Cloud based systems.
Performs professional, technical, and analytical work in programming and systems analysis for mission-critical City systems.
Directs the planning, implementation, review, and security execution of mission-critical software systems' integration both in-house and Cloud based systems.
Ensures that internal and external customer's needs analysis is in alignment with City initiatives.
Works with functional groups within the Technology Management Division and internal City clients to develop short and long-term system plans.
Works with and coordinates activities between vendors and organizations external to the City as it applies to the mission-critical software systems.
Sets up, manages, and maintains appliances, services and applications to monitor all website operational status.
Performs security-related and programming-related source code review on major application systems.
Reports to Information Security on security related matters.
Serves as technical consultant to senior management personnel regarding specific software issues relating to mission-critical software systems.
Plans, directs and performs audits related to the security of mission-critical software applications.
Works with Systems Development Manager on software purchases or upgrades ensuring continued availability of mission-critical software systems.
Keeps abreast of emerging technology trends and their effect on City mission-critical systems.
Performs other related duties as required.
|Knowledge of the computer technology used to support the mission-critical systems, including both hardware and software.
Knowledge of the business rules, policies, procedures and other related information of the City as it relates to mission-critical systems.
Knowledge of project management techniques.
Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and assign tasks to subordinate personnel.
Ability to establish efficient standards and procedures for mission-critical software systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, department management personnel, vendors and others.
Ability to document the functionality of critical hardware and software systems.
Knowledge of systems analysis and information system concepts, techniques, and operating principles.
Knowledge of the capabilities, limitations and uses of available computer and peripheral equipment.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others, using both technical and non-technical language to explain complex technical issues and processes clearly and concisely.
Ability to operate a personal computer for extended periods of time.
|Bachelor's degree with major coursework in computer science, information systems, mathematics, business administration, or related fields with four (4) or more years experience in systems analysis and programming including two (2) years project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Florida Driver's License is required.
Must pass police background investigation that includes a polygraph.
