This is a part-time SEASONAL position with no benefits and no guarantee of a certain number of hours.
Starting Salary: $11.00 per hour
NATURE OF WORK:
Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work involving the cleaning and maintenance of City parking facilities including cleaning windows, bathrooms, walls, offices, elevators, etc. Empties trash containers and replaces plastic liners. Performs a variety of tasks involving significant physical effort. Operates power tools and mechanical cleaning equipment. Performs maintenance tasks utilizing equipment requiring some manipulative skills.
WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION: Average hours vary 20 to 32 hours per week. Some weekend and holiday work required. Schedule subject to change based on division needs. Work locations include various parking garages in and around Downtown
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Ability to work without close supervision once tasks are learned. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, often under hot and humid environmental conditions. Ability to climb stairs and use ladders. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Some experience in building/industrial cleaning required; background in building repair and/or construction is preferred. Ability to operate pressure washer, EZ-GO, and lawnmower. Florida driver license required.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
