Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano joined Mayor Buddy Dyer and Emergency Manager Manny Soto at the Orlando Operations Center to kick off President Obama’s summer service initiative, United We Serve.

United We Serve is the President’s call to Americans to participate in our nation’s recovery through volunteering and community service. Mayor Dyer has implemented a similar initiative in the City with his community service work-alongs. Orlando Citizens Corp volunteers assembled Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) kits in preparation for hurricane season.
