Shingle Creek Trail

The Shingle Creek Trail, located seven (7) miles southwest of Downtown Orlando, is one section of a larger regional trail that will eventually extend south from Orlando to Downtown Kissimmee. The trail is twelve (12) feet wide, with asphalt and concrete sections.  The trail currently runs south, from Eagle Nest Park north of Mall at Millenia, to the Orlando International Premium Outlets.

Importance:

The Shingle Creek Trail is important due to its regional and national significance because of the Shingle Creek water body. This trail connects various destinations and employment centers such as the Mall at Millenia, Universal Studios, and the International Drive Tourist Corridor.

Trail Characteristics:

The trail starts at Eagle Nest Park, and has a two mile loop around Lake Fran, offering scenic views of the lake. The southern portion of the trail is suburban in nature and provides a direct connection to the International Drive Tourist Corridor.
