Used Cooking Oil Recycling Contest

The holiday season is here and with it comes plenty of great food. Do you have used cooking oil leftover at your house? If you are pouring used cooking oil down the drain, then you could be spending time and money trying to unclog your sewer lines due to blockages. If your pondering ways of trying to get rid of your oil this holiday season, the City of Orlando has a great solution for you with a RECYCLING CONTEST. That’s right, you could win a cool prize just for recycling your used cooking oil now through December 8th, 2017.

Make sure your used cooking oil has cooled, then pour your used cooking oil into any size, shatterproof container. You can pour your oil into a small plastic water bottle, the plastic container the cooking oil came in, or even our own Grease Fighter Recycling Jugs. Bring it to any City of Orlando Community Center and drop it off at Used Cooking Oil Drop Off Location.  While you are at a center dropping off your used cooking oil, grab an information sticker for our Cooking Oil Contest, place it on a bottle and write your name, email address and zip code on the sticker. You will automatically be entered into the contest to win a free Butterball Oil-Free Fryer and Roaster from the City of Orlando. You read that right, you could win a free prize just for recycling your used cooking oil! Please visit our Grease Recycling Page for more information on a drop off location near you.
