City of Orlando Wastewater Division Overflow Alert
Notification: As a response to the Emergency Directive issued by Governor Rick Scott concerning public notification of possible pollution (http://www.dep.state.fl.us/pollutionnotice), the City of Orlando Wastewater Division has developed a public alert system to provide notice of any sanitary sewer overflows which have occurred within the city limits. Provided below is an announcement regarding the location of the sanitary sewer overflow.

City Response: City of Orlando Wastewater crews have responded to the sanitary sewer overflow, and have repaired the issue with the public sanitary sewer system which caused the overflow. As a precaution, the city crews have isolated the area surrounding the sanitary sewer overflow, and will properly sanitize and clean all areas impacted by the sewer overflow. Residents are urged to stay clear of any sanitary sewer overflow areas until the proper city personnel are able to properly sanitize these impacted areas. Illness in humans and animals can occur from the direct contact with untreated wastewater. If the sewer has made contact with the stormwater system in the area, the City of Orlando Stormwater Division will be notified to asses water contamination.
