The Thanksgiving holiday has come and gone and if you are left wondering what to do with that used cooking oil and grease, we have a wonderful solution for you. Bring that leftover cooking oil and grease into one of our 16 community centers and we will collect it for free and even provide you with a free new recycling jug as a thank you!
Our goal is to ensure that every Orlando resident knows not to pour these items down the sink drain as oil and grease together are the leading cause of sewer backups in homes. Left untreated these can lead to a sewer overflow which directly affect the health and wellness of our surrounding lakes and streams. Our program is fun, free, and easy to use and that left over used cooking oil… we send it off to be recycled into biodiesel.
Here is how you can help in this after Thanksgiving Recycling Drive. Make sure your used cooking oil has cooled, pour it into a shatterproof container and drop it off at one of our 16 locations through out the City of Orlando. We will have a table set up at the following locations throughout the upcoming week:
Come out and show your support for the City of Orlando and drop off your used cooking oil. See you there!
