  1. Location & Directions

    The Orlando Wetlands Park is located at 25155 Wheeler Road, Christmas, FL 32709. The Park is located approximately 27 miles east from downtown Orlando and approximately 14 miles west off the I-95 Titusville exit. From Orlando:  Take S.R. 50 to Christmas, Florida. Turn north (Left) onto 420, Ft. Christmas Rd and travel 2.3 miles, then turn East (Right) onto Wheeler Road and travel 1.5 miles. The address is 25155 Wheeler Road, Christmas, Florida 32709. From Titusville:  Take S.R. 50 to Christmas, Florida. Turn north (Right) onto 420, Ft. Christmas Rd and travel 2.3 miles, then turn East (Right) onto Wheeler Road and travel 1.5 miles. The address is 25155 Wheeler Road, Christmas, Florida 32709.
  2. Park Hours

    Open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. The Park is open 365 days of the year. There is no fee to enter the Park.
  3. Parking

    Parking is located at the entrance to the Park and is free of charge. Motorized vehicles are not permitted inside the Park.
  4. Weather

    Seasonal weather in Central Florida can vary from cool to very hot. The Park's geography consists mostly of open exposed marsh with little to no shade; however, there are shaded wooded trails along the Park's perimeter. From late spring, through summer and early fall, expect hot temperatures with the potential for high humidity and thunderstorms.
  5. Visitor's Center

    The Education Center is a visitor center with permanent and seasonal exhibits that include live animals and multimedia displays. It is located just off the west side of the parking lot and is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays, from 9 am to 3 pm. Just north of the parking lot is the entrance pavilion with informational displays, map guides of the Park, and informative brochures. Stop here to sign-in and out of the Park.
  6. Things To Do

    Only passive recreation activities are permitted at the Park. These include photography, wildlife viewing, hiking, the use of non-motorized bicycles and horseback riding. Vehicular traffic, boating, swimming, flying of drones, hunting and fishing are NOT allowed. Tram tours are available on Fridays and Saturdays. Visit the Tours page for more information. The Park has an Education Center located just west of the parking lot and it includes permanent and seasonal exhibits with live animal and multimedia displays. The Education Center is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm. The Park has restroom facilities, picnic pavilions, charcoal grills and interpretive signs.  For information on reserving a pavilion for a group event, visit our Tours page.
