General Public Tours
Guests may enjoy tram tours led by the Friends of the Orlando Wetlands on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm. The tram tour lasts for 45 minutes to 1 hour, holds up to 14 people, and is on a first come, first served basis. Tours are free, however, donations are welcome. Group Tour Reservations
Schools, birders, professionals, scouts and other groups, may reserve a guided tour of the Orlando Wetlands Park. Tours include a 15-30 minute presentation about the Park’s primary function as an advanced treatment facility for reclaimed water, as well as information about the wetlands ecosystem including the flora and fauna found at the Park. Several tour options are available depending on the size and needs of the group. All reserved tours need to be booked at least two weeks in advance and have a 10 person minimum. Groups of 10 - 14 people on Volunteer-led Tram:Groups of 14 people or less may reserve a volunteer-led tour on the 14 passenger tram cart. These tours may be reserved on any day of the week except for Fridays and Saturdays. Tours are free of charge, however, donations are welcome. Plan for your tour to last between 1 and 2 hours.
Groups of 10 - 24 people on Staff-led Trailer:Groups of 24 people or less may reserve a staff-guided tour on the 24 passenger trailer. These tours may be reserved Mondays through Thursdays. Tour cost is $3 per person. The trailer tour is not recommended for groups with small children or folks unable to climb up a trailer ramp. Plan for your tour to last at least 2 hours.
Groups of 24 people or more on Staff-led Bus (bring your own):Groups of 24 people or more may bring their own bus into the Park where staff will board the bus and guide the tour. These tours may be reserved Mondays through Thursdays. A maximum of 2 buses per day is allowed. Tour cost is $2 per person. Road conditions in the park are a sand/shell mixture that is very firm when dry. Plan for your tour to last at least 2 hours.
Groups 10 or more people on Volunteer-led Hike:Groups of any size may reserve a volunteer guided hiking tour of the Park. Hiking tours may be reserved on any day of the week. Hiking route will be dependent upon Park and weather conditions. Hiking tours are free of charge, however, donations are welcome. Plan for your tour to last between 1 and 2 hours.
